ABOUT RASHAAN

Rashaan L. Matthews has built his acting career through a combination of film, television, and stage work, taking on roles that allow him to bring strength, character, and emotional honesty to the screen. His credits include Pulpit Gangster, Broken Covenant the Movie, Same Spot, Murder Chose Me, For My Man, In A Split Second, and Flipped, with experience in both lead and supporting roles.

At 6’1”, Rashaan has the stature and presence of a leading man, but his casting range goes well beyond one lane. He can step naturally into the role of a husband or father, carry the authority of a pastor, doctor, executive, or community leader, and transition into romantic, dramatic, or more complicated characters when the story calls for it. There is a grounded quality to his screen presence that makes him believable as both the man people trust and the man whose story may be more layered than it first appears.

His theatre background has also contributed to the way he approaches performance. Rashaan has held leading roles on stage and has continued developing his craft through professional acting training. That combination of stage discipline and on camera experience gives him the versatility to work across television, feature films, independent productions, faith based projects, romance, crime stories, and contemporary drama.

Outside of acting, Rashaan brings an athletic background that includes basketball, golf, Taekwondo, running, and jet skiing, along with experience in ballroom dance, hosting, modeling, and rap.
